Arielle Emmett expresses herself in pictures and words.  In recent years, she has researched and studied all aspects of interactive visual communication:  film, photography, human to computer interface, mobile media, signs.   Emmett wrote her doctoral dissertation on the cognitive effects of news photography.  Since then, as a professor, she has directed high school and university coverage of stories ranging from the “troubles” in Ireland to Barack Obama’s 2008 election to  the democracy demonstrations in Hong Kong.

Emmett has also traveled to Australia and the Great Barrier Reef, planning further adventures this spring in Java, Indonesia, Italy and Turkey.
